Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will both have a number of wardrobe changes once The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn premieres in November and they hit the press circuit. And while Stewart is currently busy filming Snow White and the Huntsman across the pond with no time to consider any red carpet dresses, her rock-star stylist Tara Swennen has already been busy at work finding the best looks for her celebrity client. But will Stewart (and Pattinson!) approve of the fashionable selections?
Swennen recently tweeted, "Met with some of my fave British designers-Erdem, Kirkwood, Pilotto etc-for KStew-Excited to get this ball rolling! Thx Starworks!" Well, the stylist has no doubt already scored one point with Robert Pattinson, referencing designers from his home turf. And although her list didn't include a major British force currently making waves, Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, it still packs plenty of fashion-forward options.
Hollywood Life highlighted five key looks, plucked straight from the runways, from the designers who Swennen mentioned, and the frocks pretty much seem en pointe for the edgy, sporty, and slightly provocative style favored by Kristen Stewart. Of the five featured garments, the best dress was a brooding, knee-length number from Erdem's Fall 2011 collection. Its unusual black fabric seemed brushed with watercolor blotches just mysterious enough to channel that Breaking Dawn vampire vibe. Plus, the plunging neckline and up-to-there slit brought some sexy edge.
The second place winner was a body-hugging, knee-length Peter Pilotto number from Spring 2012, rendered in a snakeskin-like print of varying hues of green. It would be stunning with Kristen Stewart's current jet black hair color.
Less successful picks from Hollywood Life were a frumpy, floral-print off-the-shoulder frock that was too girly and too mature for Kristen Stewart. Robert Pattinson probably wouldn't like it either, given its overwrought nature. Both stars tend to go sleek and chic for the red carpet. Two additional patterned dresses from Pilotto's Spring 2012 registered as way too casual for Breaking Dawn première action, but perhaps they'll make an appearance on Stewart during daytime promotional events.
