Kristen Stewart was photographed recently wearing a rather odd combination. Did she make a fashion faux pas or did she start or take part in a rather stylish trend?
According to a report from Hollywood Life, Kristen was seen wearing a very pretty high-fashion dress with a pair of $45 worn Vans. It was an interesting ensemble to say the least.
Now in all fairness, it should be said that Kristen was wearing heels prior to the photo in question. It was taken on the day that she, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner appeared at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood to have their hands and feet permanently cemented for posterity. The Twilight stars are now a permanent part of Hollywood history.
Prior to the footprint ceremony, Kristen Stewart removed her heels and put on the checkered, slip-on Vans. Apparently she was afraid she'd sink in the cement if she got too close while wearing her heels. Some people might have thought to bring along some plain ballerina flats or a simple pair of white slip-on slippers for the event. The checkered Vans really looked out of place, but of course fashion is somewhat of a relative entity.
